Ride Light on Seattle's Link Light Rail:
Plenty of Seats are Available

Pictures taken between 5:50 P.M. and 7:09 P.M. Friday July 24, 2009

UPDATE, January 13, 2010:  Latest ridership figures indicate plenty of seats available most of the time.  Now you must have a ticket or ORCA smart card since paper transfers from the bus are no longer valid.

A paper transfer obtained after riding on a bus to the station on King County Metro, Pierce Transit, or Community Transit covers your fare on light rail through the end of the year!

These picture were taken on a round trip between Westlake and Tukwila on the first Friday evening after opening day the previous Saturday.

This particular excursion took one hour and 19 minutes with the return trip made from Tukwila on the first available train.

Some pictures above are near Westlake Station; other pictures taken near Tukwila Station.

Notice the video cameras mounted in the ceiling of the train cars, so your ride will be secure.
